São Paulo, March 12, 2026 – Celebrating a significant milestone in its global innovation strategy, the BMW Group today officially inaugurated BMW Group TechWorks Brazil in São Paulo, a new IT hub fully operated by Act Digital. The new technology center represents a major step in the company’s digital transformation in the Americas region. The celebration brought together employees, executives, and officials for a comprehensive program that highlighted the vital role of local talent and technology for the future of premium mobility.
BMW Group TechWorks Brazil joins a global network of DevOps IT hubs, enhancing the BMW Group’s ability to deliver customized software solutions. The hub will focus primarily on developing customized software for the National Sales Companies (NSCs) in the Americas region and for BMW Group Financial Services, in addition to providing IT services to the region’s production plants.
This expansion represents a projected investment of over R$ 600 million (more than US$ 100 million) over five years. The project is launching with approximately 200 Act Digital employees, and the plan is to more than double its workforce to meet the growing demand for IT services in the Americas.
To highlight the initiative’s importance in the region, Maru Escobedo, President and CEO of BMW Group Latin America, states: “The BMW Group has been present in Brazil for 30 years, leading the premium segment for the past seven years. Today, we operate two production plants, a sales office, and an engineering office. Now, with the official opening of BMW Group TechWorks Brazil, we are ushering in a new era of digital innovation, further strengthening our presence in the Americas region."
