
The area of Information Technology (IT) has stood out for years. That is why it was indicated as one of the most attractive areas for young Brazilians, according to the CFA Institute survey.
The survey approached more than a thousand college students and new graduates, of 18 to 25 years old. Of these, 58% feel confident about their future career prospects. Results also showed other areas for the professional development of young people that are in the spotlight:
- Health
- Sales
- Media and Marketing
- Telecom
- Finance
- Education
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- Medicine/Science
- Architecture
- Engineering and Construction
- HR
- Legal
The area of Technology, which encompasses IT, has more and more opportunities. From 2019 to 2024, the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communication Companies (Associação Brasileira das Empresas de Tecnologia da Informação e Comunicação, Brasscom) estimates that at least 420,000 professionals will be needed to supply the market’s internal demand.
The most recurring vacancies are:
- Java /.Net Backend Development
- Angular / React FrontEnd
- Data Engineering
- Mobile Development
Some skills deserve the IT recruiters’ attention during selection. “We usually look for professionals with profiles of high collaboration skills, creative thinking, efficient communication, positivity, and planning capacity”, says Luana Gabriela da Silva, Delivery Director at act digital.

- Get ready in advance, and think about the information that may be essential to help you get the position you want. Study a little bit about the company;
- Choose a proper, quiet and with little noise site, avoiding any distraction;
- Ensure a good connection, prioritizing devices that can be connected to the network by cable;
- Test the equipment before the online interview; Make a phone call with a friend to make sure everything is working well;
- Try to communicate clearly; Write down the key words so you don’t forget to comment on something relevant about yourself.
